Getting Started
Begin by asking yourself: what are your favorite things about the Renaissance Festival? The food? The shows? The shopping? It's important to identify what you get out of attending a live festival so your at-home version can fill those voids.
Here are three approaches depending on how much time and effort you want to invest:
Keep it simple. Start with a themed meal and a Renaissance music playlist. Use any fancy serving ware you have, or grab some Medieval-themed party plates. With a great playlist and the right attitude, any meal becomes a feast.
Level up. Add a historical film, a Renaissance-themed board game, or browse the artisan directory to support the craftspeople who make faires special. Many entertainers also perform live online.
